ATIVA-Gauge 6.0 (Release, version 6.0.10)
IMPROVMENTS
In some rare cases, the database could go into protection mode. Protected mode is a security function that is automatically activated if there is a risk of typing errors. Protection mode could be triggered when several writes were queued to the database but due to problems listed below did not finish their writings.
- Power failure
- Computer crash
- Poor network performance, congestion, etc.
- Lost network connection to the database
- Incorrect installation of the database. The database is located on a replicable/synced file area
To turn off the protection mode in the database, you had to send the database to us at ATIVA Development, where we re-indexed the database and unlocked the protection mode. In this version, a tool is now built in that automatically re-indexes and unlocks the protection mode if it should have been activated.
ATIVA-Gauge 6.0 (HotFix release, version 6.0.09)
CORRECTED ERRORS
- Calibration templates. It was possible to enter longer text strings than accepted by the database. This meant that too long texts in headings and nominal value were deleted when the template was saved. A lock has now been introduced so it is not possible to enter longer texts.
- Calibration. Measured value could be written longer than what is accepted by the database. When saving the performed calibration, all entered values were deleted. The calibration was saved anyway and the next calibration was calculated as usual but without saving any measured values. A lock is now inserted so it is not possible to enter the longer texts.
- Accredited calibration. Texts longer than 255 characters could be entered in the fields, this caused an error when saving. A lock is now inserted so it is not possible to enter long texts.
SYSTEM
- Support for Windows 10 version 20H2.
- MSVS upgraded to 15.9.35.
ATIVA-Gauge 6.0 (Patch release, version 6.0.08)
NEW FUNCTIONALITY
- ATIVA-Gauge receives support for digitally signed calibration certificates that can be issued by accredited laboratories, who work according to the laboratory standard ISO/IEC 17025. All necessary data is collected and presented in a report. The report is then handed to the client, digitally or as a printout, after an accredited calibration has been performed.

Measurement data
- Arrival registration is introduced. Objects submitted for calibration are registered with date, recipient and condition of the object. With this new function, you know that the object has been submitted and is available for calibration.
.
- Handscanner. You can register the arrival of a barcode-marked object using a hand-held scanner.
- Shortcut Ctrl + R, Arrival registration of an object.
- Mandatory arrival registration, the function is activated from the system administration, if it is active, an arrival registration is required before a new calibration can be started.
- Calibration reports have been given new fields where arrival registered information is displayed. If no arrival registration is performed, these fields are hidden in the report.
- New columns in gauge list, “Customer”, “Arrival registered date” and “Arrival registered by”.
- New columns in performed calibrations, “Arrival registered date”, “Arrival registered by”, and “Condition”.
- Geographical locations get a new affiliation – “Customer”. This affiliation then connects to a new customer field on the gauge register. This field is for you who calibrate on behalf of other companies.
- Geographic locations also get two new fields “General email” and “Web address” . Both fields have shortcut buttons to directly start the email client and their browser.
- New quick filters, Arrival registered and Calibrated. Arrival registered shows all items available for calibration. Calibrated has several submenus and shows performed calibrations, Calibrated-> Today, -> Yesterday, -> Last 7 days, -> last 30 days, -> This month.
IMPROVMENTS
- Calibration reports, The External file field is hidden if no file is specified.
- Search Filter , The filter editor now saves the latest window position and size instead of always starting in the middle of the screen.
CORRECTED ERRORS
- It was not possible to free text search for words or phrases that contained Å, Ä and Ö in the Notes field with the filter editor.
- Under certain conditions, a user’s settings file could be incorrect, with the result that this user could not start the application. In this version, a check of written settings file is introduced. If the application detects that there is something wrong with the settings file, it will automatically create a new one for that user.

- New icon on gauge postmode “Scheduled”. This is displayed in the same way as when the item is loaned.
- You can click on the lending and schedule icons to activate the lending log.
IMPROVMENTS
- Post registers for instructions and calibration templates have been given a new field order “Created by, reviewed by and determined by”. The flow becomes more natural in this way.
- All reports are adjusted so that no one has a default printer. Some post reports could show errors if deviating printers were selected by default. E.g. printer OneNote.
- Inherited notes on calibration templates are rearranged so that instead of the template’s notations, the previous calibration note is inherited. If an object is calibrated for the first time, the template notes is inherited.
- List reports for measuring range have been given three decimal.
- ‘Search Filter (Not Saveable)’ is renamed to ‘Autosaved Search Filter’. This filter is now automatically saved to always be able to reset the last search (only applies to this filter). This automatically saved search is also listed under your own filters. Other custom filters 1-5 work as usual.

ATIVA-Gauge 6.0 (Patch release, version 6.0.05)
NEW FUNCTIONALITY
- Full DPI scaling *
SYSTEM
- MSVS is upgraded to version 15.9.5.
- Microsoft .NET Framework is upgraded to version 4.7.2.
OTHER
- Updated help files.
NOTES
* DPI scaling means that the program looks the same on screens that have very high resolution and must be scaled for the screen image to become useful, this touches screens where the scaling is set by more than 100%. Screens that are usually scaled in basic installation are e.g. a laptop 13 ”- 15” with FHD resolution (1920×1080), where Windows recommended scaling is 125%. Other more or less commonly scaled screens are WQHD (2560×1440) or UHD (3840×2160). These extremely high resolution screens must (depending on size) be scaled and usually scaled from 150% to 400%. With this update, ATIVA-Gauge will appear crystal clear and sharp on high resolution screens.
This update is more of a technical update than new functionality for the program. It is recommended to upgrade if you know that you are using high resolution screens where DPI scaling is enabled.
For those of you who are technically interested, you can check out the links below where the rather complex system for screen scaling is reviewed.

NEW FUNCTIONALITY
- Explanatory box of what each checkbox option for user categories means.
IMPROVEMENTS
- The loading times for reports going from fast to extremely fast, especially when the system is installed on application server (RDS and CITRIX).
CORRECTED ERRORS
- If a calibration template had a string value (eg Y/N) and if you calibrated with this template and wrote a number value, then this number was set as a deviation. This proved to be after saving the calibration and then chose to look at it historically. Only shown in the interface not in reports.
- Prognosis and outcome could, under certain conditions, calculate with error when the prognosis was displayed in any of the days between 2-9.
- If the status was changed and saved, then directly clicking on an other object in list mode, the status of the new object changed if it was different from the previously saved. Now the focus is shifted from the status selection right after a change.
- The show instruction button did not turn off when a new calibration template was to be created.
- If a completed calibration with the error symbol for exceeded min/max value of prerequisites was opened historically, the error symbol for the table prerequisites was not displayed.
- Graphic errors are corrected on the Register Gauge (list mode). Buttons and input fields changed location when barcode scanning was started.
SYSTEM
- MSVS is upgraded to version 15.9.2.
- SAP Crystal Reports is upgraded to version 13.0.24.
OTHER
- Updated help files.

The purpose with this is to gain an idea of the gauges future development. This makes it possible to get a hint whenever a gauge is becoming worn-out and it is about time to replace it.
- Prognosis and outcome are a new tool for planning the company’s workload for future calibrations and costs. The tool also shows exact results of calibration performed and its actual costs.
- Explanatory Info box in the Cost and Tolerance width field of the Calibration Templates.
- New Search filter for (A) With ongoing calibration*, (A) With approved calibrations*, (A) With Failed calibrations*. *=See notes.
- Report Calibration protocol is now available with an additional option that allows printing of the Calibration instruction in the same report.
IMPROVEMENTS
- The Serial number field is zeroed when copying, as it is usually a unique value.
- The color marking is changed so that BROWN 0 is displayed only when the correct “(E) Not to be calibrated” status is not selected.
- You cannot have a next calibration date if an object is Discarded.
- New designed and more transparent search filter menu.
- Save calibration dialog: The field to select calculation mode for the next calibration date is disabled when a object with status (A) is calibrated and completed, instead an information box says that status (A) is not calculated.
CORRECTED ERRORS
- It was possible to select the “Take back lended object” feature, even though it was not lent. Now, the function is disabled instead.
- Exception thrown if you clicked on report lending post mode before a new lending had been saved. Now the report button is disabled when you choose to create new lending.
